The plant is usually spherical or oblate in shape. The size of the sphere varies depending on the growth environment and individual differences, generally ranging from a few centimeters to more than ten centimeters in diameter. Its surface is covered with a layer of white or grayish-white fluff. This fluff not only gives Peyote a unique appearance and texture but also plays a certain role in protecting the plant, such as reducing water evaporation and resisting ultraviolet radiation.

Peyote has obvious ribs on the sphere. The number of ribs is usually several. These ribs make the sphere more three-dimensional and add a unique geometric beauty to the plant.

Peyote has relatively large flowers with a diameter of up to several centimeters. The flower colors are bright, usually pink or white. The flower shape is bell-shaped, and the petals are layered, giving a certain sense of three-dimensionality and layering.

Peyote is relatively drought-tolerant. Watering should be appropriate to avoid water accumulation. Due toits growth in a dry environment, the demand for water is relatively low. Generally, water when the soil is completely dry. The dryness and wetness of the soil can be observed to determine whether watering is needed. When the soil surface turns white and dry, watering can be carried out.

To meet the growth needs of Peyote, loose and well-drained sandy soil should be selected. Special cactus soil can be used, or the soil can be prepared by oneself. When preparing the soil by oneself, materials such as sand, perlite, and vermiculite can be mixed with ordinary soil to improve the air permeability and drainage of the soil.

As mentioned earlier, the suitable growth temperature for Peyote is 15 degree - 25 degree . During the care process, the environmental temperature should be kept within this range as much as possible. In summer when the temperature is high, methods such as ventilation and spraying water can be used to reduce the environmental temperature. Ventilation can increase air flow and take away heat to lower the temperature; spraying water can increase air humidity and also play a certain role in cooling. In winter when the temperature is low, Peyote should be moved to a warm place indoors or insulation measures should be taken, such as using insulation boxes and covering insulation materials to prevent the plant from freezing.
